Admissions Procedure

Admissions offered in the academic year 2014 – 2015

For the current academic year, i.e., 2014-2015, Deepika memorial high school offers admissions to Playschool Kindergarten, LKG, UKG. Grades I to X, subject to the availability of seats and eligibility.

Obtaining the application form

Parents who wish to apply for admission should obtain the brochure and application form on payment of prescribed amount. The application form can be down loaded from the net and apply through the net.

Criteria for submission of application form

The duly completed application form must be submitted in the School Office on or before the stipulated date. The following documents should accompany the form:

  • Certified copy of School Report of the previous academic year (if applicable).
  • Six passport size photographs and two stamp size photographs of the student. Parents One Each Photograph.
  • One certified copy of Child’s Birth Certificate.
  • One certified copy each of details including dates and grades of any Public/Board Examinations already taken (if applicable).
  • Copy of the T.C. (If possible).

Original documents of the submitted photocopies should be made available upon request for verification.
The mere submission of an application form does not guarantee admission to the school.

Age criteria for application of admission

Children have to meet the stipulated age requirement for admission to Deepika memorial high school as on June 1st of that year. The required age limit for each grade is mentioned in the table. The stipulated age limit may be relaxed at the discretion of the School Admission Committee based on past academic achievements and performance in our testing procedures, provided the student has graduated from a recognized school.

Placement test and interaction

Admission to DMHS is through a placement test and an interaction, the testing procedure is adapted to suit the age of the child. The placement test will be conducted at school premises and parents will be intimated of the date and time. If all application documents are provided, placement test and interaction will be conduction same day.

Admission Lists

The outcome of the admission will be conveyed to the parents after the interaction. The names of the selected candidates will also be displayed in the school office. The decision of the School Admission Committee will be final and binding and no further discussions will be entertained.

Confirmation of admission

On receipt of acceptance of admission, parents have to pay the fees within the stipulated date. The following documents should also be submitted:
1. All dues payed statement from previous education institute
2. Six passport size photographs and two stamp size photographs of the student. Parents One Each Photograph.
3. Transfer Certificate / Record sheet from the school last attended (if applicable)
4. Two passport size photographs of the attendants who receive/visit the student.

If for any reason the Transfer Certificate cannot be produced at the time of admission, it must be produced on or before the commencement of the academic session.

Mode of payment

In the form of cash/D.D drawn in-favor of Deepika memorial high school payble at admission office.

Withdrawals:

Once admitted, withdrawal of the student will be permitted only after a clear calendar month’s notice or a month’s fee in lieu thereof, besides clearance of all the dues, other than regular fee, for issuing Transfer Certificate.
Applications for the Transfer Certificate relating to withdrawals for the next academic year must be submitted not later than 31st May. Applications received for such withdrawals after this date will attract the provisions of payment of all the usual fee or fee charged at the time of re-opening of the school, as the case may be.
The student’s name will be struck off the rolls on the following grounds without any notice.

  • Indiscipline
  • Unsatisfactory progress in studies
  • Non-payment of fee
  • Unauthorised absence from school for more than 15 days.
  • The management reserves the right for re-admission.
